Today I've got China Glaze Electra Magenta from the Tronica Collection! I managed to snag this one really cheap when Mag and I went to the Beauty Fair Asia a few months ago. It looked a lot more purple under the lighting so I was quite surprised when I went home to google the swatches and realised it was more of a pink -.- BUT NO MATTER, it's still HOLO. Though a very, very mild holo I must add. Pales in comparison to the China Glaze OMG Collection and all the Laylas and Nfu Ohs.
You can almost catch a slight glimpse of the holo-ness here! But barely.
I wouldn't say it's magenta either?? Definitely more purplish than what a magenta should look like. Get your colours right China Glaze!!
But overall I still like this polish!! The formula was kind of thick though. No, REALLY thick. I didn't know if it's because I got a bad bottle or the formula is like that. I had to add a load of thinner before it was of a workable consistency!
It was quite opaque though! Managed this in 2 coats and finished off with a coat of Seche Vite.
Looking at this polish only makes me more excited for the upcoming holo collection by China Glaze!! Definitely excited to see all swatches soon!

very pretty color.. I really like this one. Reminds me of some of my Sally Hansen holos, definitely holo but not as vibrant as some of the newer polishes. I just love this color though :)
ReplyDeleteYeah even though it's not as holo as the newer polishes it's still stunning!!
DeleteI really love this!
ReplyDeleteIt's such a pretty colour right!!
DeleteAnd when I see these things I think: WHY DON'T THEY SELL CHINA GLAZE IN ITALY?! WHYYYY?! I've just discovered your blog :)
ReplyDeleteAww man!! Should try to get some if you ever go overseas!!! Welcome to our blog! :) Thank you for reading :D
DeleteI love this! I think the subtle holo is really pretty and not too in-your-face (: I love how 'vibrant' it is too, compared to other holos. I find that sometimes the holo effect takes over completely and the true colour becomes pale and washed out ): This seems like the perfect balance of colour and holo (:
ReplyDeleteYeah that's true!! Sometimes too strong of a holo "masks" the true beauty of the colour of the polish! Wish I got the other polishes from the Tronica collection! :/
DeleteThat mani is drop dead gorgeous! You did a good job with the application. Thick polishes are no fun to lay out, but the difficulty doesn't show. Not at all. Thanks for the posting. Now I'm going to be up scouring the Internet all night searching for this polish. LOLOLOL. Great post and pix!
ReplyDeleteThe thinner really helped though!! HAHAHA good luck with your hunt!! Glad to have tempted you ~~~
