Have you ever seen a music video and just LOVEEEEED the looks in it?? Like Katy Perry videos! They're all so colourful and happy and bright! Xun and I went to Bangkok with a group of friends in May and during the trip, one of our friends- HELLO JIAMIN!- got the song Primadonna by Marina and the Diamonds stuck in our heads for the entire duration of the trip. When I came home, I immediately went to look for it on Youtube and I loved Marina's look in the video! Her flippy voluminous hair, winged eyeliner and a small heart at the corner of her eye, and her NAILS!!!!

So cute right?! When I saw them in the video I thought "I could do that!!" And so I did, once I finally got my hands on some mint green polish.
Here's my attempt! My base colour is China Glaze Refresh Mint. For a pastel colour, Refresh Mint has a great formula! I used to have Essie Mint Candy Apple and the formula was just TERRIBLE. It was streaky and a nightmare to paint, though the colour was pretty!
I did the flowers with a dotting tool but only got the hang of after a few attempts (as you can see from the off centre flowers on my pinkie and ring finger haha). I might try a striping brush next time so that I can draw more petals! It's quite similar to my previous Spring nails tutorial, except it's just one flower in the middle!
